"At it's best, music is a shared communication between souls. All proceeds from our CD, which will be out soon, will go to help a beautiful woman with Cerebral Palsy have a better life. I wrote the song "The Ghetto" to express my basic philosophy of life, which is that mankind is basically selfish. The rich and powerful grab all the wealth for themselves...the rest of us fight over the crumbs. It is not a song about Blacks and Whites, by the way. It's about the have's and the have nots...those "born with the silver spoon..." and those stuck with the "greasy spoon". The Ghetto in the title could just as well refer to a Mexican or Puerto Rican neighborhood, as an African-American one. For centuries the Jews in Europe were kept separate from the Christians in a ghetto. Unless we learn to "love thy neighbor..." we will remain in a state of constant violence and misery.
